The Telangana Language and Culture Department, in collaboration with Supadha Creations, has released a vibrant video song celebrating the Bathukamma festival. This event was marked by a special release ceremony by Smt. Vani Prasad, IAS, Principal Secretary of Cultural and Tourism Department, in her chamber today (October 5th).
Bathukamma, a unique festival that honors nature through the worship of flowers, is an integral part of Telangana’s cultural identity. During the release, Smt. Vani Prasad highlighted the significance of this festival as a “Thanksgiving to Nature,” where flowers are revered as deities. She appreciated the beauty and essence of this festival, which transforms every village in Telangana into a celebration of colors and devotion.
The Bathukamma song, beautifully sung by renowned singer ML Shruti, is enriched by the poetic lyrics of Dr. Tangirala Sridevi Reddy. The music composition was masterfully created by MM Srilekha, and the talented Nagadurga and Swathi team added charm and elegance to the video.
Dr. Mamidi Harikrishna, Director of the Cultural Department, also commended the team, stating that the song vividly captures the spirit of the festival. Senior journalist Ponnam Ravichandra, Director Chetan, DOP Tirupati, and writer inampudi Shreelakshmi were present during the occasion, adding further grace to the event.
The release of this song adds another layer of joy to the ongoing Bathukamma celebrations, making it accessible to people who cherish the spirit of this festival that brings nature and community together in harmony.
